I spoke with Sims, of Harmonious Wail, a couple of hours ago - bought tix through him - he said there will be a schedule up tomorrow or the day after. He also indicated there will be a 2 hour workshop before the Saturday evening concert, with staggered start times - not quite sure how it will work - sounds like one workshop availability, with one instructor - but it sounds great, regardless - small sizes, intensive.

I am in one of the bands and even I do not have a schedule yet. I believe that Friday's show will be Gonzalo, Robin, and Swing Gitan each having a set. From what info I have Alfonzo needs to be back in Chicago Saturday night but may be at the guitar workshop Saturday afternoon. All us other bands long with Gonzalo and Robin will be playing Saturday.

-- schedule coming soon, very soon
-- instructional workshops from noon - 2pm on Saturday -- call or email Sims for details
-- Full menu coming soon -- provided by Peoples Bakery -- gyros, baklavah, smoothies ......
Chris - I am really excited about this - I've had a chance to hear Alfonso live, now, a few times, and I'm really looking forward to hearing your band, especially in such an intimate venue. I've not yet heard Gonzalo Bergara or Robin Nolan, either, so - well, let's just say I'm seriously keyed.
When I spoke with Sims (wanted to buy tix - FYI, all buying tickets, Sims indicated you will be able to buy tix via Paypal in a few days, otherwise, he's taking CC tix/workshop purchases now over the phone), he indicated something like a workshop period from 12-2 on Saturday, with staggered start times.
You guys have plenty on your plate, I know, but, selfishly, do you happen to know of any possibility brewing for extended workshop slots, so that we might be able to take part in more than one workshop, with more than one player?
I talked to Sims again today. Things are really coming together. The schedule is almost complete. Here is a TENTATIVE version. Figure events start about an hour apart with 50 min sets. Again this is NOT firm yet... just a rundown Sims gave me.
Friday 7:00? start
Swing Gitan
Robin
Gonzalo
Campfire jam
Sat 12:00 start
Workshop
Workshop
Rumba Kings dance set in tent
Wail dance set in tent
Swing Gitan barn?
jamming?
Caravan GSE in barn
Robin in barn
concert break / jam
Wail in barn
Gonzalo in barn
campfire jam
For those of you who have not been to the fest in the past the jams have gone until like 2:00am abound a roaring bonfire as long as the weather cooperates.
I will be seeing him tomorrow to get fliers. I will be sure to ask about the workshop. Cool thing about this fest is that the headliners tend to mill around the grounds.
