Bireli Lagrene/Gipsy Project/Hono MP3's?

Hi All -

Anyone know a source for buying MP3's of Bireli, esp. Gipsy Project, or otherwise Hono Winterstein albums (e.g., Tchavolo Schmitt's Miri Familia, but in MP3)? I tried Amazon, but nothing from Bireli in Gipsy Project in MP3, only import (to the U.S.) CD's. I'd like to really do a close and exhaustive listen of Hono Winterstein's rhythm playing, and the ease of MP3 is something I like to buy. Any thoughts appreciated.

Gypsy (spelled with the "y") Project and Miri Familia are both available on iTunes for $9.99. No big deal to convert to MP3 format.

Thanks, Wcolsher - I don't have an Ipod, wasn't aware I could download straight playable stuff without it from that site (I grew up in the era when PC Jr. was the bomb...lol).

I've seen the odd spelling on "Gipsy" a few places - including Bireli's Live at Vienne album...On the spelling, presuming a colloquial thing, multiple spellings?:

(Have the DVD - god, I love this concert...have to go there, if it's an annual thing. Then swing to Verona, Italy, for outdoor opera...http://www.tickitaly.com/opera/verona/verona-opera-information.php; can't imagine a better summer...dreaming). Anyway, thanks again.

Sorry if this is a lame techno-question - but can't get Itunes to connect to the Itunes store...I see this is apparently a widespread problem. I've tried disabling ZA, reinstalling several times, nothing is working.

Any thoughts? In lieu of using Itunes, any other suggestions for straight MP3 downloads?

The most common reason for not being able to connect to the store is an old version of iTunes. Current version is 8.2.0.x on Windows.

If your version is OK, make sure iTunes is enabled as an "exception" in the Windows Firewall control panel. ZA should have turned off the Windows firewall anyway...

I see that there have been a lot of issues with iTunes/ZoneAlarm - it looks like the most common involve Privacy settings and not having iTunes added to the trusted programs list. I don't use ZoneAlarm, so someone else will have to go into details there...

Unlikely causes: your ISP is blocking iTunes, your hosts file is blocking iTunes.

Today was on a "not favorite" side of the coin...have no idea what happened, but I have spent the better part of today dealing with my computer going on the fritz, it appears, from a flawed download of Itunes that apparently altered registry values and a host of other stuff. Basically, from what I can tell, a sought after memory sector or portion of a winsock file has been corrupted or lost, and we could not recover the ability to connect to the internet - at least from everything tried. I'm typing this on a new machine. (It was about time, anyway).

Anyway, I do prefer MP3's, but in the alternative, plastic is good as well. Many thanks for everyone's input.
