Julie and Julia film--Minor Swing featured

My boyfriend Tony and I saw an advanced screening of Julie and Julia which we really enjoyed. Meryl Streep was a very convincing Julia Child! We were both pleased to notice Minor Swing being played by a 40's era Paris band (unfortunately no Django in the band).

So, I finally saw the movie and it was great. It was a "electric guitar" version of minor swing but they played a recognizable rendition of his most famous minor swing solo.


Also, I just found out that in the new movie "Men Who Stare At Goats" that Jeff Bridges plays a character named "Lieutenant Colonel Bill Django". For a comedy, that is pretty funny.
