What is "normal" action... high???

Love the new Manouche Latcho Drom! The action is up there though, with a tall bridge. My for-sale DG-300 ($750 including Shatten PU and good case, thank you) plays much lower.

I started on Martins and Telecasters, so I might not understand these guitars. Where is you action?

Thanks!

Most people have the action way too low on the Gitanes...you could lower the Manouche Latcho Drom as well but the sound would probably suffer.

Around 3mm at the 12th fret is pretty standard. On the Asian guitars you can't take it too low or you really loose a lot of sound. The higher end guitars do much better....you can get a Dupont or a Hahl down around 2.5mm and they still sound great and are SOOOO easy to play. But most other guitars really loose there sound if you lower the action too much.
