I got it from amazon.co.uk mp3 download for 6.99 GBP.. listened to it yesterday afternoon and yes, bireli is still the king!! i'm not keen on the opera one either ( be my love) but there is fantastic, untouchable guitar playing throughout - a great fix of bireli in a trio setting..
i'm just giving this album it's first listen at the moment and was quite surprised to hear a george harrison cover. one of my favorite tunes off abbey road.
i like the trio setting. i wasn't crazy about frank wolf's sax playing on the last couple of albums anyhow.
bireli's playing is as inventive as ever. i like the way the lines he plays can go in unexpected directions.

It's a good CD, but it sounds hasty, they probably didn't work on it much..
Spatzo : here you are ! we thought you had vanished ! ça va bien?
Adios tutti, gatsby
I agree. While I listened to it the solos were not very memorable. I don't think he spent any time working the solos out. I like to see things have a lot of thought put into them, not just a lot of practice.
The highlight of the CD (for me) is the incredibly abstract version of "Something" by George Harrison and also when Bireli sings a line from "Singin' in the Rain". Bireli really needs to sing more often on his discs. My favorite Bireli discs are "Sara Lazarus-It's Alright With Me", "Blue Eyes", and "Routes to Django".
