On one of my computers, a Mac, I have been getting a warning, purportedly from Google, that the site may contain "malware". Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks.

yes i was seeing that too. it's very annoying.

it's a browser setting with some modern browsers where they block sites that have been listed as containing virsus, malware etc.

this is how i fixed it in firefox:

    goto tools - options -security
where you see "block reported attack sites" click "exceptions"
enter djangobooks.com save and restart firefox

    that fixed it for me.

michael if you read this you should probably try and get djangobooks removed from that list as it is blocking users from accessing the site.

sorry about this....the version of phpbb we have is a little out of date. Google freaked out and labeled us an attack site. Anyway, my web guys have checked everything over and it's fine so we just have to wait for google to remove the warning.

I'll probably be upgrading the forum to ver.3 soon. That should prevent this from happening again. New features which is nice but we'll probably have too loose the modded "Gypsy" skin.

    Hi Michael,

Looks like there has already been an "upgrade." The look and feel is very different this morning. Pretty nice so far, actually.

One thing that seems to be missing, though: before, in the main index where it shows the latest post, you got the Subject and the poster's ID; now it's just the poster's ID, no subject. Is that something that can be turned back on?

There are lots of little things I need to tweak, I'll see if I can figure that one out.

Michael, do you know what the brief flash of something, with every page loaded, is about? It's like an extremely rapid re-direct....but odd, and a bit disconcerting to the eyes. Any idea?

Actually, I don't see it anymore either, Michael. Don't know what it was - and not up enough on this stuff to be able to guess, really...some sort of cache issue, possibly?

Anyway, nope, clean as a whistle, now. Congrats on the changeover, and thanks...like some others have said, I have been on a severe withdrawal, and glad to get some "relief."
