I was wondering if anyone knows what guitar Kruno was playing at Django in June 2009?

I'm not absolutely cetrain, but I believe it was an Asian Dell Arte. I know that has been his normal axe for the last year or so. I've played it before and it was pretty nice...one of two Dell Artes I have ever liked.
I've never been a guitar player, but I've played one on stage.

I'm pretty sure he was playing a Minor Swing in 2007, but this year's guitar didn't look quite the same. He had mentioned that the old one was not in good shape.

I second Mike B's assesment. I had a lesson with Kruno and he played and let me play his $750. Pigalle import which looks and sounds like what's in the videos. An amazing guitar value in amazing hands!
He was endorsing Dell Artes, so I'm sure he got the best of the crop and **** ususally has quite a good supply of the better built MusicLink/Asian's(as you'd expect). I have bought a Robin Nolan and Hommage import directly from him and they both were very, very, very good. I now play a short scale maple hommage d-hole which is killer!
I hand delivered Kruno's guitar back to **** after Django in June. He was playing an Asian made Dell Arte; one of the Latcho Drom's but I can't remember which specific model. He basically hated it. Not to gripe against Dell Arte, just THAT particular guitar wasn't the best. It was on loan from Alain after Kruno's main guitar was damaged in a car accident right before the camp. Hope that clears things up.
best,
Carlos

Unless he replaced it, the one that was damaged was also an Asian Dell Arte. I played it at his house a couple of times and thought it was quite nice. He told me at the time it was one of the Asian ones, but we never discussed which model. He liked it though, and it sounded great...when he played it.

Michael, my bandmate's plastic Maccaferri would sound great if Kruno were to play it!

Kruno's first guitar was a Dell'arte Minor swing. He got it used from Alain. I believe Francois Rousseau owned it first.
That guitar opened up radically after Kruno started playing it. I was amazed at the difference when I heard him playing it at Django in Philidelphia (whenever that was).

Kruno should charge to break-in people's guitars.
