Bob
is no stranger to the fiery Hot Club of France style. After all, he
personally crafted Stephane Grappelli's violin, along Grappelli's
accompanists, Bucky Pizzarelli and Martin Taylor. But when Bob decided
to make a Gypsy style instrument without restriction he used his 41
years of experience to create a masterpiece. Handcrafted from select
European Flamed Maple (back, sides and binding), European Spruce (top)
and an American flamed maple neck, this instrument has a 15 3/4" X 3
1/4" body and Bob's traditional 25" fingerboard scale. Fashioned with a
unique ebony tailpiece and bridge, it has an elongated oval hole and is
super lightweight. Includes a custom faux alligator case. This Hot
Honey Blonde retails for $24,500. (discounted to $19,600).

These are really great guitars if you need something that has the beautiful amplified sound of an archtop combined with the crunchy acoustic sound of a Gypsy guitar. They really live in-between the archtop/gypsy world. Also, these things are SOOOO easy to play...great if you have hand problems or just don't have a lot of time to practice technique. You can really burn on these things with the action close to 2mm.
