BRISBANE IS SET TO SWING WHEN THE 4th ANNUAL OZMANOUCHE GYPSY JAZZ FESTIVAL HITS TOWN! Held at the Old Queensland Museum, Fortitude Valley Brisbane, Oz Manouche 2009 will be a weekend of concert performances by ten bands, workshops, film screenings, merchandise and food stalls, licensed bar, chalkboard performances and endless djamming opportunities!
This year’s festival will feature the Fabulous Date Brothers Ian and Nigel with clarinetist Paul Williams - Ian’s coming from Ireland for the event – as well as exciting Melbourne bands Duck Musique and Belle Musette. Also appearing are Rom Gypsy duo Vasil and Vasil who recently appeared on Australia’s Got Talent, the Gypsy Swingers featuring Daniel Weltlinger from Lulo Reinhardt’s band, Ewan MacKenzie and Swing Manouche, Paul Bulanyi from Monsieur Camembert and many more.
Workshops for beginners to advanced players will be held in Guitar, Violin and Bass.
