Anyone know this tune? It's French and you can hear Howard Alden playing it in the beginning of "Sweet and Lowdown" when Emmett Ray plays the opening gig. I would especially appreciate a solo version or at least a place to start looking. Thanks.
The exact name of the tune is "Parlez-moi dAmour".
I have the music sheet of the song, sung by the french
female singer Lucienne BOYER.
Give me your e-mail address and I will send you a scan of it if you are interested.
Can you possibly send me a copy of that sheet music as well? Unfortunately this song did not make it in Howard Alden's sheet music book for Sweet and Lowdown.
There is a transcription of the recording from the Woody Allen film that a member of the french forum, I think, made. I believe I found it there, in any case. You can find it here: https://sites.google.com/site/posglov/tablatures
