Just bought this album
Django and Stephane - Le Rois du Swing Manouche
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Les-rois-du-swi ... =8-1-fkmr1
I have tons of Django but nothing like this album. Whoever remastered it done a superb job. No hiss whatsoever, you can hear things I've never heard on a Django album before, such as the slap of the strings on the bass fretboard, Django moving his relative position to the bridge for a treble effect, and the rhythm is crystal.
Its literally like buying the latest album.
Can anyone else recommend any remastered Django? I would definitely spend the money on more

YOu can try this one I made in 2003 and just redone for 2010, a big third of the tracks were mastered directly from 78rpm in excellent condition.
80 pages illustrated color booklet with full english texts, rare photos and comments for each treack + an introduction by Alain Antonietto.
We added a bonus DVD with the "Jazz HOt" sequence that has also been remastered (forget the youtube quality...). DVD is pal format.
I hope Michael will sell it on Djangobooks :
