For those of us in the southeast, there is a large gypsy jazz event at the Gray Eagle in Asheville on January 23 which is the centennial of Django's birth on that date in 1910. I don't think it's very expensive, here's the info:

It'll be a good show, some formal performances but also a revolving jam session on the stage with some superb musicians. Of course, all musicians are welcome.
Likewise, there will be a live broadcast of One Leg Up and friends on WNCW, the popular Americana radio station. This will be on January 22 I think around 11AM, they stream if you're outside the area.
Asheville is one of the hippest spots around and the Grey Eagle is an excellent venue. Come if you can, it'll be a good show.
