Here's a short lesson on one the key tunes in the Gypsy Jazz repertoire: "I Can't Give You Anything But Love"

I look at the chord progression and devise an arpeggio exercise over the changes.

Excellent! Why am I so long in discovering this? Very reminiscent of Gonzalo's teaching method of linking arpeggios.

I haven't seen Gonzalo's book but from what I gather it's the same sort of principal. Although it sounds a bit mechanical the "linked arpeggio" method is a very good way to start to hear and feel the changes of a tune. Thanks for watching.
