Do you guys know any amps that would sound nice for acoustic guitars from my martin to my gypsy as well as jazz tone from my tele?

How do you convert acoustic signal to electric? Mic, piezo electromagnetic ???

Which is most important sound.... an acoustic amp that gives great sound for a mic'd guitar may not give you the tone you want from your tele.

All amplification is a compromise, which do you want to prevail?

Once you have that figured out then read Michael's sticky here on amplification. After digesting that set your budget and start trying em out.

well I read this one post a while back about someone using a LR baggs M1 in a d-500 and it sounded nice (from the soundbite). I am thinking to get that perhaps, and I was hoping that whatever acoustic amp would work nice with a tele, but I read some other forums and they ALL said that tele + acoustic amp = Nasty sound. So I guess I will have to get 2 amps. Anyway...

IMO you might find it worthwhile to do your own work in this. Different acoustic amps have different sounds and what you want in tone may be completely different even "terrible" to someone else's ideas....here will also be people who think your idea of tone is great and everything in between.

If you know what you want in tone try different amps's out and maybe even try a few effects boxes or pedals with your tele. For my and how I play the I mostly prefer a mic'd acoustic guitar. I went through a period for a few years in the late 60's when I was into the electro acoustic sound but have moved away from that for my playing and now much prefer a mic'd acoustic.

Having said that there are still a few tunes that if I had an Benedetto or some such handy I would use it to play that tune cause the sound is just right IMO for the way I want it to sound.

I guess what I am trying to say is find the tone that you want .... not what someone else thinks you should have....... play it your way and make it your own. No matter how much a person tries to sound like Django, Stochelo, Barney Kessel or Joe Shmuck they will never will cause they are who they are....and always will be.
