I've been meaning to post my enthusiasm for the SanGreal amp. I've recently started playing this amp exclusively with the Hot Club of Las Vegas. Nothing against the AER but this is a much more flexible amp, in all gig situations, than any other acoustic amp I've tried. First of all coming from a rock/shredder background I really appreciate having TUBES again! Definitely a creature of habit, and the warm tube sound makes me feel at home. While I would say the SanGreal is louder than the AER, for me it's a feeling that it's "bigger" sound. The wedge shape helps me hear myself better onstage while not being to loud for my bandmates. You can also sit the amp up vertically and in this way it fills the room better. There's a port for an ultimate support stand where you can also raise the amp up like a small PA speaker.

I'm moving away from bigtone p-ups and really liking the mic'd sound of a Pro-70. This of course invites a lot of other problems. The SanGreal has a notch filter to help out with any feedback issues. Personally from my days of touring I've never really liked the sound of my guitars coming back to me in wedge monitors. (If you have enough clout have the roadies disconnect the horn and tweeters!) If you are using the SanGreal on a big gig with audio tech support you can use this as a personal monitoring system. Just face the SanGreal at you in place of your monitor. Then take a band mix from the sound tech and connect it to the SanGreal's "monitor in" port. You even have your own monitor mix knob to adjust the volume!

There are a lot of other features, but I'm trying not to be too wordy! I'm very excited about this amp and I'm still enjoying the honeymoon period with this amp and my Bob Holo axe!

Lastly like the AER the SanGreal is very transparent. (I think this should be the single most important quality of any acoustic amp.) So if your guitar is a dog it's gonna sound like a dog thru these amps!
