Hi Ben...no dots were moved. Most vintage Gypsy guitars don't have side dots, so when people add them sometimes they opt for a 9th fret marker (but leave the original fingerboard marker at the 10th). That's what happened in this case...will cost $10 to move the side dot.
This one is a monster! A truly classic Favino...it just evokes the 70s Gypsy vibe ala Boulou, Hans'che, Raphael Fays, etc. It's a real ball breaker!
The Macias model is darker, warmer, and more rounded by comparison. A sweeter guitar for sure....
