Stochelo's guitar in the DVD - what is it?

Anyone know anything about the guitar Stochelo plays on the DVD? It's a lovely birdseye maple and I can't tell if it's the lighting or if it has a light stain on it. But who made it?

Also, in general, do most gypsy-style guitars use similar bracing? Do some use scalloped bracing or otherwise lighter bracing than the old Selmers?

to this day I have never seen a Eimers guitar show up in the Northwest United States... I wish someone would buy one already! LOL

Hm... I´ve found that Stochelo´s Samois guitar on the site with no prob!

OK... found it. Don't know how I missed it the first time. The site says:

"The little 'stick on mics'(near the cutaway)were installed for synchronisation purposes."

What do you think that means? I haven't a clue.

I don´t (but want to also) know all details, but from general point of view - if you use several picks it´s fine to get the signals from all of them to be in phase (I read such recomendations in some pick manuals). Maybe they installed the sticks for this purpose...

Can anyone confirm if that's a maple neck? If so, it must be heavy.
