  • How can I get in touch with the builder? I'd be interested in an adjustable pole humbucker.

Hi Everyone I have 2 humbuckers on sale on Ebay right now http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0453223282

I am redesigning the adjustable pole model though and it may be a LONG time before I have one for sale.
the current design is great but DAMN Difficult to make, I should be charging 300$ for em and there is a point of no return in the process where if something goes wrong the whole thing becomes a paperweight!
the good news is I built a prototype with ceramic magnets and a S shaped housing and OH MY! it is the most transparent sound I have EVER Heard from a magnetic pickup.
hear it here on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XtKD1usrl1E

the prototype is a bit thick so I need to make it about 2mm thinner but it is possible.
the S shape is necessary to allow space between the 2 coils to avoid phasing.

here are photos of the Adjustable Pole humbucker on Ebay now, this is my most kick A$% design if I do say so myself.
I also listed a newly minted single coil to with an amazing maple burl finish
  • My guitar has a 1 13/16 inch fretboard. Will the pole pieces line up with my strings?

How thin can you make these? My guitar doesn't have a ton of clearance. With a Stimer the string ends up hitting the pickup past the 15th fret or so.

Hi there, send me a rubbing of your strings and I can line it up perfectly.
also the angle at which you mount it can iron out small inconsistencies
it would be 30$ extra for the custom job, but if it lines up anyway I wont charge extra.
these line up well with all tested Gitane and Dell arte guitars and on the Shelley park I tried.

Hi I can make the adjustable ones thin, 5mm which is 2mm thinner than the stimer.

I just mounted up a pole piece humbucker.
Balance is perfect. Sounds great. Silent when not in use!
Just tried it: so I won't get poetic, but it sounded good so I wanted to pat Jason on the back for his hard work developing the thing.
Its real thin too. It looks 2mm thicker than my Gitane fretboard, like it could be mounted smack on the end of the fretboard, but I didn't try it.

    Nice work
