Diknu Schneeberger

For those who haven't heard of this young Austrian player. Of Sinti origin, his father Joschi plays bass with Martin Spitzer on rhythm. This lad is one hot player, I don't think he's even 21 yet, he's going to have a long career.

His 2010 album The Spirit of Django is great, you have to remind yourself your listening to a young lad. His timing on I'll See you in my dreams makes it the second best version of that tune I have (out of about 15)

    I like Diknu a lot: he's rapidly finding his own voice (at the beginning the influence of Stochelo in his playing was a bit too evident). His recent work with Wawau is really worth noting ( and those guys seem to have a lot of fun playing together!)
