Accompanists

I've heard many of Django's rhythm guitarists in lead roles - Nin-Nin, Baro, Bianchi...so what about some of the other guys playing in France at the time? I found info on the line-ups of Sarane and Matelot Ferret's bands; can anyone tell me about their accompanists? The names I have in front of me are Jean "Nenene" Maille, "Raton," and René Duchossoir, and from Ekyan's band, Gaston Durand. Did they ever lead their own bands? Did they have careers before or after playing with Sarane, Matelot, and Ekyan?

How about Chaput? I read that he recorded at least one album as a leader; has anyone heard it? Any thoughts?

Is that the album "Guitare a Danser" with songs like "Ballade for Julie", "Cumparsita", and "Sonny Boy"?
