WANTED: Gypsy jazz guitarist Minneapolis/St. Paul area
Honeysuckle Rose, a Minneapolis based gypsy jazz/swing band is looking for a rhythm guitarist. Honeysuckle Rose is Rose Oyamat on vocals, David Stenshoel on violin, Holle Brian on upright bass and Dean Harrington on guitar. We play instrumental and vocal jazz from the 20s-40s in the hot club style of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli. We are currently performing regularly in the Minneapolis, Saint Paul area, and have recorded our first cd, which we will be releasing this winter. Unfortunately, one of our members moved and we need to find someone who can play this style, or is interested in learning to play gypsy rhythm guitar.
