vorrei qualche consiglio... (+lezioni a roma)

Ciao ragazzi Da qualche mese sto prendendo lezioni di chitarra jazz quì a Roma; suonavo la chitarra da qualche anno, ma non mi ero mai effettivamente messo a studiare lo strumento da un punto di vista teorico; così, volendo suonare con più coscienza, mi sono detto che darmi al jazz forse mi avrebbe introdotto rapidamente al mondo teorico della musica (non che ne fossi astemio; suonavo il pianoforte da piccolo, ed ero anche dotato dicevano, poi un pò perchè ero piccolo, un pò perchè non avevo genitori che mi seguissero ho lasciato... e quanto lo rimpiango adesso!)... E fin quì credo tutto liscio. Già da qualche mese prima di iniziare le lezioni ad ogni modo strimpellavo con un amico qualche canzone gipsy tanto per divertirmi. Volendomi donare eventualmente a questo genere ho iniziato a studiacchiare con questo maestro, estremamente preparato e anche mediamente costoso (35 euro a lezione). Arrivando rapidamente al sodo: Visto che fino ad ora, e credo per ancora un bel pò di tempo dovrò dedicarmi alle basi (scale arpeggi triadi) mi chiedevo se non fosse il caso di passare ad un maestro magari meno costoso ma specializzato in chitarra manouche piuttosto che prendere lezioni jazz ad ampio raggio da un maestro più bravo ma che certamente non ha modo di farmi divertire mentre suono, nè di darmi consigli pratici su quello che vorrei andare a suonare (la mia gitane dg270 è ben diversa dalla sua gibson semiacustica, e il suo jazz è ben diverso dal mio gipsy); poi un giorno, magari, quando avrò le basi e potrò camminare con i miei piedi, tornare dal maestro bravo per aprire gli orizzonti e aggiungere influenze... E' sbagliato come discorso? Nel qual caso sapreste a chi potrei rivolgermi per le lezioni di cui sopra? ciao e grazie in anticipo per le risposte


eng: I'm studying jazz since some months since i wantend to learn music by a theoric approach. I'm still in a very basic level though, and i wondered if 35 euros for a lesson for learning scales and arpegios weren't a bit too much considering also that my maestro is a jazz guitaris, extremely talented, but not at all familiar with gipsy, and not able to give me pratical tips while i learn and not making me play anything except the basics. my dg270 is very different than his gibson, and i've already found here and there on the internet many tips that he couldn't give me, and probably will neither in the future (the picking tecniques for example). Should i search for a cheaper maestro, maybe at a lower level, but specialized in gipsy and wich could give me theoric basics by making me play them on the gipsy standards? Thank you for the answers (very sorry for my rusty english)

studying with a standard jazz teacher is great, expecially if you learn some theory and how to harmonize jazz standards. it will help a lot also in gypsy jazz, but if you don't have enough money my advice is to focus on gypsy jazz teachers. i'll talk with a friend of mine and reply to you asap

i've found a couple of possible teachers, anyway i'm going to ask them next month when i'll have the time to study guitar seriusly. than you for the help (i guess augusto is a friend of yours)

i introduced him to gypsy jazz a couple of years ago and now he's a pure BEAST!
he's also a standard jazz teacher and he can help you for sure.
