Non cutaway Castellucia Guitar -Info

Hello,

Any information on this vintage castellucia guitar, which has gypsy guitar aspects (very thin bridge, steel string, slotted headstock), but this guitar is a non-cutaway though.

I tried attaching a .jpg, but that didn't work so here is a link, it just sold on ebay, so check completed listings.

Any information or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance, have a good day.

in italy those guitars were really common in the 50s and 60s, I suppose those were simply traditional steel string guitars guitars here (And castelluccia was Italian), and may luthiers built them.

They became more rare as soon as american style folk guitar were introduced by eko.

As you can see from this video, Lucio battisti played a similar guitar (2:39 2:45)

Also toto (Antonio de curtis, an italian actor) played the same kind of guitar in late 50s, but I cannot recall the title of the film.

But a fast research on youtube could bring out a lot more examples.

    regards

    Luigi
