Hey all, still Jonesin' for more GJ after Djangofest Northwest?

Then don't forget the 4th New Mexico DjangoFestival in Albuquerque, New Mexico, October 21st-24th, 2010. (Check out poster below)

I've been to all the New Mexico festivals they are fun events with a funky edge. The gigs are usually held in hip local bars so its kinda like having the acts at DFNW/WICA at the old Dog House or right at the Edgecliff. Swing dance fanatics to belly dancers, they're all there. It's a blast attending these shows. Then jam sessions are held in hotel lobbies, in great open parks (with a conjoining Farmer's Market), and wherever people want to pull out their guitars. Saturday morning has a super New Mexico breakfast jam and meet-the-players session. Sunday has an open jam at a large gazebo in historic Old Town Albuquerque. And everything is covered with a health dose New Mexico Green Chile -- some of the best stuff in the world!

Below is some info from the website. I hope some of you can attend!

Featuring:

Gonzalo Bergara and the Gonzalo Bergara Quartet
Le Chat Lunatique
Hot Club of Phoenix
Swing from Paris
Mango fan Django
Hot Club of Santa Fe
Shoestring Trio
Zoltan Orkestar
Django Rhythm Meat Grinder

This year, the 100th anniversary of Reinhardt's birth, the 4th New Mexico DjangoFestival hopes to be the most exciting yet! Featuring internationally famed headliner Gonzalo Bergara, and the Gonzalo Bergara Quartet, other incredible acts include Hot Club of Phoenix, Mango fan Django, Swing From Paris, Hot Club of Santa Fe, and special guest Shoestring Trio (Los Angeles). Local flavor will be provided by Le Chat Lunatique, Zoltan Orkestar, and Django Rhythm Meat Grinder. The festival kicks off October 21st, with an FREE opening night soiree at Scalo's Il Bar, featuring Le Chat Lunatique and friends. The following night, October 22nd, will include an early show at the Kosmos featuring the Gonzalo Bergara Quartet and two other acts, and a late show at Low Spirits Bar and Stage featuring three more exciting groups. Saturday's events include a recovery breakfast at Winnings Coffee, a workshop with Gonzalo Bergara, and a blowout SEVEN-band show at Low Spirits Bar and Stage! Sunday, October 24th, features a FREE jam at Old Town Plaza featuring many of your favorite musicians...and YOU!!!

Dancers, musicians, and audiences alike will come together to celebrate New Mexico's diverse artistic community through the music and life of Django Reinhardt! Don't miss it!

Cool poster! If you make stickers of that, would you send me one?

Not sure we can make it out for this, but I'll ask Jill.
