Hey all, still Jonesin' for more GJ after Djangofest Northwest?
Then don't forget the
4th New Mexico DjangoFestival in Albuquerque, New Mexico, October 21st-24th, 2010. (Check out poster below)
I've been to all the New Mexico festivals they are fun events with a funky edge. The gigs are usually held in hip local bars so its kinda like having the acts at DFNW/WICA at the old Dog House or right at the Edgecliff. Swing dance fanatics to belly dancers, they're all there. It's a blast attending these shows. Then jam sessions are held in hotel lobbies, in great open parks (with a conjoining Farmer's Market), and wherever people want to pull out their guitars. Saturday morning has a super New Mexico breakfast jam and meet-the-players session. Sunday has an open jam at a large gazebo in historic Old Town Albuquerque. And everything is covered with a health dose New Mexico Green Chile -- some of the best stuff in the world!
Below is some info from the website. I hope some of you can attend!
