he played this at samois 2005....
D7 to Gm (can also be altered to resolve to G)
e-----------------------------------------------------
b------------------------------------------------------
g---------------------------------13-11----11-----------
d---------------12-10----10-13--------12-------------------
a--------9-12---------11-------------------------------
e-9h10----------------------------------------------
e---------11h13p11-10---------------------------------------------
b-----13-----------------13s12-10-13-10-11---------------------
g-14------------------------------------------------------------
d--------------------------------------------------------
a--------------------------------------------------------
e---------------------------------------------------------
starts on the AND of 1 .... ... all 8th notes cept:
first G# is a quarter note, the next D that occurs from that point is also a quarter note... the trill thing on the high E is a triplet
so u gotta know it starts on hte AND of 1 and ends on 3 a few measures later....
the D7 lick will overlap with the chord it needs to resolve too.... if you're anal about it, you can start the lick earlier so that it resolves "properly"
shape is coming from:
D7 10 12 10 11 13 10
Gm x 10 12 12 11 10
the importance of knowing the shapes (and they don't necessarily have to be the ones from my examples - they can be similar ones) is so that you don't get lost in the form and also that you can then transpose them easily accross the fretboard
i've transcribed a whole bunch of licks from adrien and sebastien giniaux, i hope they won't get pissed off at me...

Great lick. Very "out" sounding. So much so that I'm having trouble figuring out where the chords fall. Does the G- come on the measure after this phrase? It almost sounds like it comes in during the middle of the 4th measure.
