finish on cigano oval hole

anyone know what kind of finish is on these? maybe a super thin coat of poly?

Doug Martin (who used to work or Saga/Gitane/Cigano) tells me it's the same finish as on the Gitanes, but not buffed out. If that's the case, it's not super-thin. The matte finish on our Cigano grande bouche doesn't feel as thin as Doug's AJL XO
