sorry for the question, but what is primavera (apart from spring in spanish)? first time i hear it... is it an alternate name for some established wood?

It's a tropical hardwood of some sort from S.America. That's all I know about it. Sounds great and is really gorgeous!

ok, if anyone else is nerdy about these wood-related topics (like me), instead of staying lazy, google was my friend: Cybistax donnellsmithii (old name) or, more correctly, Tabebuia donnell-smithii. it´s a tropical hardwood from central america and north of south america, hard but prone to shrinkage. Michael is right, it´s a very beautiful wood. common names: ipê amarelo (portuguese); white mahogany or gold tree (english); primavera, durango, miranda (spanish).
