Hey guys. My uncle just bought a little club cafe and he asked me, my pianist and my clarinetist to play there every tuesday and I accepted. But, after 2-3 weeks I want to buy one more guitar, electric jazz guitar like Gibsons, Epiphone, you know what I mean.
My total budget is around 3000 dollars.
So. Can anybody recommend me a decent guitar and some equipment for a little bar to play in? I don't know exactly what I should have, because I never played in a bar.
Thank you!
Stefan.

These links could be of help (sorry if you already knew of them):

in one the articles it states that wes didn´t turn the treble all down, but for me, mere mortal with clumsy hands, it shure helps me a lot to octave in the style of wes (i wish!) .
anyway, IMVHO, most of his sound comes from his astonishing thumb technique, heavy gauge flat wound strings and the springy reverb sound, so you could spare in the guitar and amp department. i´d buy a cheapo archtop with similar scale length (25´5´´ IIRC) and a gibson ´57 classic neck humbucker replica to go with it ( http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/ ... sku=306000 , http://www.zzounds.com/item--GIBAIM57P and http://www.gibson.com/en-us/Divisions/G ... umbuckers/ ).
hope this is of interest.
Cheers,
Miguel.
Just another question, for a sound like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNnvg1w2fNM what should I buy? Tell me, amp, or ... all the gear is required in 3000 dollars.
