I wonder if this might be a very early Michael Dunn guitar - or one from one of his students. The general craftsmanship looks quite good, the tailpiece is not a standard model, and the volute on the headstock says Dunn to me. Look at the guitar Michael has for sale, the volute is similarly horizontal but much more refined as you'd expect 15+ years and many necks later. I have seen Dunn guitars that had this exact volute. And I can't think of any other builders who use a volute like that, especially if this guitar is 15+ years old. There were not so many builders 15 or 20 years ago, and there were builders then who don't make Selmer style guitars anymore. It would be interesting to see the neck/body joint, too. My $.02...
Get a dentist's mirror and a small flashlight and look at the inside of the soundboard - many luthiers and some factories sign their soundboards on the back.
You get one chance to enjoy this day, but if you're doing it right, that's enough.
