Hi, was wondering if anyone knew where I could find a transcription of Grappelli's part in the duet with Django, thanks!

Dario, did you ever find a transcription? I have one started, but it's very sloppy and sketchy. I got Amazing Slow Downer, and began by writing out the basic melody (out of a fake book), then picking out the notes on the mandolin and trying to figure out which bar they belong in, whether this one is a dotted eighth, etc. Takes me forever, so I only have the first "chorus", and still minus a few notes...

Hi Mac, no, never found a transcript for the violin..although the exercise to find stuff by ear is great, if you want to know sooner, maybe try contacting Tim Kliphuis, I'm sure he can help you, ciao!

Grazie, Dario. I'm still working on it, also working on Tim's books and etudes. Ciao!
