hi guys
I have a question. What songs by Django one must know if he wants to have knowledge about gypsy jazz style. What is necessary listening for somebody like that? Can you recommend any particular albums , any particular songs? I would like to be more knowledgeable regarding repertoire of gypsy jazz guitar

Many of us got started through buying all the Robin Nolan play along books. I suggest that you get one at a time in order (Book One, Two, etc.) since there is a wealth of information in each one that could be overwhelming if you bought all of them at once. Robin's interpretations are more accessible than Django's versions and will quickly get you on your way. Of course, listen to Django as well - and the best way of getting immersed IMO is through the "Integral" CD series that Michael has available elsewhere on this website (or through Amazon).
These are the first steps to a long fun journey ahead depending on how your skills and tastes develop.
Have fun!!!
