J'Attendrai 1939 - Challenge - Recreate

Hello,

I've been studying this video and trying to recreate the rhythm sound I'm hearing, but whenever I play it, it just doesn't sound right!

I'm wondering if anyone has come close to emulating that sound (pompe) and if they could give some hints and pointers. If you think you come close please post (vid or mp3) of your playing.

Joseph is using a lot of simple barre chords and no crazy extensions such has 6s or 6/9 it seems. The rhythm style seems to be traditional old school la pompe with the slow upstroke.

Anyone up for the challenge, it would be cool to see some players redo this scene.
