travel advice: gypsy jazz

Hi all!

I´m thinking of going to the netherlands and paris the last week of february and was thinking if you guys can help me with finding some nice GJ spots for the gadjo enthusiast to marvel.

i´d be interested in both clubs / cafés and camp sites (although i wonder if most gypsy guitar players are travelling worldwide and living in hotels by now, selling their signature model guitars through teh internets... ). still, guilty of romantic clichés, i´d like to find a camping with caravans, fire and guitar playing going through till dawn...

anyway, if any of you knows something that could be of interest, please let me know...

Anyone know how much the 3-day live-in private lessons with Lollo Meier cost?

HI there, I believe it costs around 500 euros for about three days - but that includes being fed by Lollos wife Susan and living in the traditional Gypsy caravan beside their home. You need to contact Lollo and Susan for more accurate details etc.

I'd love to do it someday

Adrian - nice site man. Crazy to think I was just in Paris last summer... didn't discover this music until later in November.
We rented an apartment two blocks from the Louvre. My god I walked by so much without knowing it was there. :shock:

Who did you rent the apartment through? (OK, OK, through whom did you rent the apartment?) My wife and I are thinking about a trip to Paris in the fall and want to avoid hotels.
