@Wim Glenn if you go to the why do all Bossa's sound like elevator music thread I posted a quote from Oscar Aleman on his playing withDjango. Unfortunately they never did record together. I am certain that DR would have heard Oscar playing some of his Tango stuff in the 30's It doesn't seem to have had much influence on him at the time. Probably because of his interest in Jazz
