yes the tapping now is exaggerated to show when it is a downstroke.
i do play an extra down on the g string to get the same movement as the first 4 notes. so to go D/U/D/D then again D/U/D/D and on... i thought as long as i don't start a string with and up stroke that it's ok?
i do practice very slow with very exaggerated right hand movement. i noticed it improves catching the feel of the lick better in your right hand, especially the rhythm of movement.
