GJ jams in Northern Virginia

edited June 2011 in North America Posts: 3
Is anyone interested in starting a gypsy jazz jam in Northern Virginia?

There is a great acoustic music scene in the DC metro area with the DCBU (DC bluegrass union) and I would love to see an equivalent organization that promotes gypsy jazz in NOVA, DC, and southern MD.

Absolutely, let me know what you have in mind.
We (Hot Club of DC) would love to get in touch with the folk scene from dcbu. That is a great idea.

rgt.thomas and I have been discussing on the side with personal messages.
If we succeed to put together a NOVA jam we'll let you all know about it.
    Cheers,

Just a follow up / update to this post:

We pulled together a GJ jam this Sunday (6/19) at 1pm on the front porch of the Nova Music Center:

    NOVA Music Center
    7144 Main Street
    Clifton, VA 20124
    Tel: 703-830-7141

I hope that this is something that will grow into a regular event. I'd like to pull together a network of people in NOVA that support and encourage playing gypsy jazz.
