I don't know if this is going to be of use to anyone, but someone went to a lot of trouble to put it together, and I thought it could be a good source for some new non-traditional material. It's almost 100 pages of tango lead sheets that make up the rep of a Minneapolis band:

I wonder if anyone's heard them play?
Best,
Jack.

Also just noticed the bandleader, Bob Barnes, used to play in a DC Klezmer band called Lox and Vodka: http://www.loxvodka.com/
Now, I haven't heard them and I'm not commenting on their music, but tell me this: Is it a law that every klezmer band in the US has to have a ham-and-cheese band photo? Okay, maybe not ham. But still...
That songbook is great, it has a lot of other stuff too, "I cant give you...", "It had to be you", "I cover the waterfront", "Besame mucho"
And of course it has a lot of wonderful tangos, I love "Por una cabeza" by Carlos Gardel, there's an instrumental version in the movie "Scent of a woman" when Al Pacino dances with the girl, I like Gardel´s better but the one in the movie is not bad.
Really, thank you.

Oh, those wacky clarinetists! If only my guitar could split into two pieces, I too could whimsically place the halves on opposing sides of my head and invoke endless mirth. As my old math teacher would have said, "He's such a card he should be dealt with."

Jack, thanks for this find!
