Great playing, bravo! I would only suggest to "shape" a bit more the Django part so one can tell easily the chord changes through the solo lines. Whatever this means! :D

Mike man, nice playing. Would love to hear that with a La Pompe rhythm player.

hey thanks, maybe someone could overdub it,no one plays django where i live so i might have to learn to play like the guy on youtube, with my feet..lol no one so far has ever played like that, one guitar on the floor played with the feet and the other freely improvising with the hands.i;ll have to get practising but i dont think i;ll live long enough to master the basics
    thanks again

Your style combines it in a happy way. Nicely done too.

If you listen to Django's (or whomevers) chord melody tricks, you might figure out a segment that is just moving around the melody with chords and then get back to the Travis style to put it back together in rhythm and melody. People love the sound of Merle or Chet! Its a feel good earthy business. I've struggled with the alternating thumb. You've pretty well nailed it.
You've found a natural combination too. I don't think you don't need anybody else. That's kinda what Merle was up to anyway. Though once you've put all that out so well you deserve a real ending to complete it.
    Very good.
