Understand the language

edited August 2011 in Gypsy Jazz 101 Posts: 9
Hi guys, hope you forgive my poor English.
I've a question for you: how do you think is better to develop and understand the language?

I learn licks, phrases and heads by ear as much as possible, but I use also transcriptions.
But I wanna improve more, and, if it's possible, faster.

May I have to be patience, and continue by my way?

Thank you

  • Patience is indeed required. If you are a ear/eye learner then also I recommend the DVD set in the style of Stochelo Rosenberg. This DVD also really gets into the techniques which contribute to the style to quite a degree

If a book learner, beeoks by Romane (L"esprit MAnouche) Wrembel and Horowitz

    Enjoy
The Magic really starts to happen when you can play it with your eyes closed

    Thank you for the response.
I'm already studying from the Stochelo and Dennis' DVD.
And now I'm gonna buying Romane's book.

Thank you very much. Keep swinging!
