Looking to download Youtubes and convert to .mov or .mp4 for use with Transcribe! for tuition. Any current favorite solutions? I find much of what is available is either outdated or packaged with spyware. I tried a Foxfire extension for instance, work great, once. After that, it locked up Foxfire, had to disable extension and restore Windows to set point to get Foxfire running again.
I'd be interested in what is working for others.

Good luck.

A friend sent me links to two on-line downloaders. Both worked good for me just now, the second one was faster & simpler.

I've been using QuickTime, which can be downloaded free--- is Transcribe! better? If so, how?

Edgar Degas: "Only when he no longer knows what he is doing does the painter do good things.... To draw, you must close your eyes and sing."
Georges Braque: "In art there is only one thing that counts: the bit that can’t be explained."
I tried a few of those online ones like what you linked to and I found them a little cumbersome with the amount of clicking.
I know very little about transcribe, but I doubt it creates tab automatically, that just seems too easy. If you're talking about slow down software, I use the amazing slow downer. It has the best sound of all the ones I have tried, and the iPhone app might even sound better than the full computer version I have.
Best of luck,
Kevin
