How long did the scene take to shoot?

We were there for 14 hours or something ridiculous like that. It took forever. One of the reasons it took so long is that they use one camera and shoot every single line of dialogue from three different angles. The would shoot for 30 seconds, cut, redo it, cut, reset cameras, do it again, etc. It was like that all day.

That's the trick for all those actors. Saying the lines the same way and being consistent with your body actions throughout. Lift the cigarette to your mouth the same way on the same word, tilt the head the same way, etc etc. At least you guys were sitting down.

Cool experience.

How did you get the gig? Talent agent attend a show?

That's exactly it. The production coordinator had seen us play at a weekly gig. Turns out he's a musician, too, and used to tour with the Royal Crown Revue.
