Breaking In/Upgrading my new DG340

Just got my DG340 and interested in putting a new bridge on it to get rid of the extrenuous noise. Other then that it seems great, it was set up my Sylvan music in Santa Cruz.
Any owners of Gitanes or DG340s(really anyone on here with helpful advice) please chime in with anything else I could do too it and bridge suggestions.

    Hey,
I've got a similar thread going about the break-in process of my DG-300. The big thing is to play it!! The break-in process for me has been quite up and down. These apparently take a year or so to open up, and start sounding/playing to their potential. If I had my time back, I'd have gotten the "Josh-package" w/ setup, new bridge, ect, before it shipped. Live and learn. I'm actually debating wether to ship it to him in Tacoma for his setup magic. I probably will.
    Enjoy your new Guitar!!!

Well I am loving my guitar, playing it everyday.
I'll post a video when I feel confident to do so.

Hows the guitar doing? I just picked up the same model. The factory setup is seriously sad. I'm going to humidify it slowly over the course of days and see where things land before taking to Josh Hegg.

As a side my other guitar is a DG500. This guitar was setup by Josh (I believe tho I'm not sure) and then further refined in Seattle by Mike Lull, it received a Plek fret job. This guitar is so ridiculously playable. I may try to figure out how to make that happen again with my DG340.

By the way, other than that weird mother of pearl inlay this thing is really nice looking.

Heh, the weird mother of pearl inlay is why I bought this guitar! I love how different it looks from all other GJ guitars. I love the nickel hardware too.

The professional set up made a huge difference. I haven't changed any components yet and I've been playing it pretty much everyday and it just keeps sounding better.

That mother-of-pearl inlay was the one thing Wrembel wanted on the guitar. It was, as he said at the time. "his trademark". It was on the French guitar he was playing when I met him in 2006, although I forget the maker.
I've never been a guitar player, but I've played one on stage.

Let's just say that the time it took them to put that inlay in I wish would have been put into setup and playability.

LOL! But they weren't going to do that anyway, so be happy you got the inlay...
