... and something else I really like about Adrien is that he's always thinking it through and creating. Sure, all these guys - when they're jamming they have their "auto-pilot" bag of tricks designed to goad other players in the jam circle to step things up. But when Adrien is on stage playing for an audience he is a different player somehow - more introspective and more communicative at the same time. When he gets somewhere and he hasn't decided which way to take the idea he's developing, he has the confidence to stop playing - take a breath - and then you see the smile flash across his face just before he tilts his head forward, digs into the guitar and blows your mind with something completely unexpected but so beautiful. Putting Adrien and Gonzalo together on the same stage is a treat because they're friends and stylistically they're different - so they play off each other so well. A duo of really top players with different styles is such a wonderful thing - Adrien & Gonzalo, Lagrene & Luc, Robin & Jimmy. It's a very special thing.
