Howzit!!!
Mundo here from the Hot Club of Las Vegas. Im happy to announce that I've partnered with UK's Stuart Carter-Smith to organize the first annual Vegas Unplugged Music Festival on Saturday October 22nd!!!!
Carter-Smith is a fantastic guitarist with Gypsy Fire, but he also throws music fests each year in England. Gypsy Fire (arriving next week from the UK,) and the Hot Club of Las Vegas are definitely performing in the Vegas Unplugged festival but the vibe is not all gyspy jazz- we've decided to expand to a "Unplugged" vibe and include all genres! Any genre as long as you you do your thing acoustically!! Check the poster below for the line up. We are happy to announce that Frankie Moreno is our headliner!!
Also on Friday as part of the fest we will have our first Acoustic Idol competition with the winner getting a slot in Saturday's lineup. Artists please enter at our website below!
We need all the support we can get as this is a purely grassroots effort with no sponsorships. Spread the word!! We'd like to thank Mike Cornthwaite of the Downtown Cocktail Room and Beat Coffeehouse for providing the venue! All music acts will perform on the outdoor backstage of the Beauty Bar, and we will have the backstreet connecting to the Downtown Cocktail Room barricaded for the festival. Spread the word and we hope to see you all there!!

You can't go wrong with any of the major shows in town. My "day job' is playing guitar for the Le Reve show at the Wynn. I'll be back in town Friday as we play Friday thru Tuesday. Frankie Moreno is the new headliner at the Stratosphere and his star is rising as he just signed with Sony. Too båd you're not here on Monday as Santa Fe and the Fat City Horns perform at the Palm.
