Here's another recording I did the other day - this time with video. Again, we recorded the solo guitar and double bass live, then I overdubbed the rhythm guitar (hardly ideal, but no other guitarists were around). It's my favourite ballad - Clair de lune. Such a simple tune but so great. The guitar is my beautiful Barault.
For the technically minded, we used one of the Audio Technica bug mics on the bass, clipped to the E string between the bridge and tailpiece and pointing up at the bridge, which sounded remarkably usable, and had much less problem with bleed than the Rode NT1a we used in that place last time. The two ribbon mics are Golden Age R1s.
Enjoy,
Jon
