Hi Players,

I am 62 years old and just getting into Gypsy Jazz. I have a bachelors degree in Jazz guitar and Masters degree in guitar performance, but I am starting from scratch with the Gypsy Guitar playing.
I have played professionally for many years and taught applied guitar in college.
ATTENTION - here's the secret -- Slow is FAST! and Fast is Slow!
You have to start SLOWLY and be patient. If you try to play faster than your technique allows, IT WILL BE SLOPPY and WON'T SOUND GOOD!
It's Hell, but it's the truth!
In his Gypsy Picking, Michael explains this but he does not yell at you! Yell at yourself, be HONEST, be patient!
See my post about the perfect book!
