Great to listen to people's recordings here. The banjo was spot on.
I've just recorded this slow version of Troublant Bolero. The guitar is my refinished Gitane 255 which is well suited to this sort of playing. Bass is my EKO fretless acoustic.

Yeah, the tone of that Gitane 255 is dreamy, wow! Lovely recording.

Putting old things in order, among other recordings this one from 1997 fell into my hands, the photograph is from the internet. Not Gypsy Jazz at all: part of a typical 90s bavarian dialect project.

Yes, been singing since I was ten - what was a long time ago. I'm the guy bottom right on the pic.The recording is one of two a capella tracks I had written for Elmar Raida's project with swing and blues tunes with bavarian dialect lyrics, most of the program was for 4 voices, piano and double bass.
