Greetings from loothland. I feel like a slug lately, I've been dragging myself to the shop. Various external reasons we all may be suffering from and this Maine winter is kicking my ass as well.

Anyway, I got strings on this guitar and it sounds pretty kick ass. I think it might be the loudest guitar I've ever made which is pretty darn loud. The tailpiece is an experiment, I've never loved the idea of the heavy non-flexible brass tailpiece. I need to tighten up that line on the end of the tailpiece but it's hard to get it exactly right. I'm not sure I like the look of the tailpiece but it works...proof of concept anyway.

Another in my line of weird GJ guitars that maybe no one wants to buy but I really like it. Definitely the only guitar that looks like that....

I like the tailpiece. You could try reversing it, to see if the tone and/or feel of the strings change with different "afterlengths" of the various strings.

I like the tailpiece too. The string afterlength follows what's on the Boonstra tailpiece on my guitar. I'd definitely wanna buy that one based on the looks only.

Are you going to put a rosette around that sound hole? Abalone would look great. I would love to try this, and compare it to my Selmer, and my other guitars.

You have built a beautiful guitar, but Ari from AJL made a similar one a few years ago; although it wasn't a beautiful blue like you have built.

No rosette, it's inspired by some Jimmy D'Aquisto arch tops that I love. They have a pretty minimalist aesthetic. But I would love to have you try it.

It is very, very loud. Loudest acoustic ever? Could be.

I see the similarities in the AJL but it's a bit of a different vibe I think. It's hopefully more like this:

To complete "and now for something completely different" theme, I always wondered why nobody tried this D'Aquisto style adjustable bridge on a Selmer style guitar...are you going to be the first?
