Just wondering what chords people are playing for the intro to hungaria
Seems like G6 Adim G/B Cdim and back down but it's hard to hear. That would be very Barry Harris-ee but I like it.
I believe the 4th chord is C6 (same three strings as the other chords) and back down.
I cheat, start with G and then use the m6 shape to go A B C and back down. Going back down G/B sounds nicer but I just use the same shape.
While I'm at it, what makes the actual melody? Seems like there's about 5 measures of melody and then the rest is improv?
Unlike most Gypsy Jazz songs. lol.
Pretty sure the C chord is a major chord (C6).
Here’s how I learned it: G6/9, D9/A, G/B, C-6 and back down
Not saying that’s correct, but got it off a YouTube tutorial a ways back.
You're right, I listened to Django, and it's Cm, not major.
It is a major 6th here

Sounds minor to me.
