The Pearl Django book -
I think this is a really great book/cd combo. I really enjoy playing along with the tracks. A must have for anyone studying Gypsy guitar.

What Am6 chord inversion are you using for the rhythm examples? 5x45xx just doesn't sound like the chord used on the CD. Or am I wrong here?

A few other comments: I wish that the rhythm examples on tracks 20 through 23 were longer. Its rather hard to get the hang of it in just two bars. Also, I think the rhythm pattern used in each song should be clearly noted.

I think this book will become an excellent practice tool for me once I get more up to speed.

I look forward to your response. Thanks.

    thanks,

I will keep that in mind for future books. (the rhythm example)

The rhythm tracks only have the basic chords. alot of the inversions or more complex chords are there to learn as alternate possibilities to play the changes.

    Thanks,

    Ah yes,

I am glad you asked. That should be a Gm6 chord. 3x233x

    Our aplologies.

  • My favorite-not too intimidating yet challenging enough-anxiously awaiting Volume 2 play along-when might that occur?(like Vol 1 so much ordered for 2 friends) renoski

    I'm hoping for a 2006 release.
